The Health Lottery in the United Kingdom has appointed Mark Nash as its Marketing Director as the organization prepares to launch a fresh brand identity. Following his appointment, Nash will be tasked with formulating a new marketing approach and overseeing the launch of the new brand identity. He will also be in charge of consolidating functions other offices had previously managed.
Nash comes with a wealth of experience in the insurance industry with Aviva. Before working at Aviva, Nash oversaw the marketing and branding department at Hiscox for six years and worked at Samsung Electronics, News UK, AND Shine TV. At News UK, he led The Sun's £9.50 holidays.
It was noted that Nash's successful tenure at Aviva was very influential in The Health Lottery's decision to appoint him. Nash is credited for forming a team without substantial resources while managing a £10m budget.
After his appointment, Nash declared:
"My aim is to make business and marketing strategies more customer-driven; successful marketing relies on understanding and addressing customer needs, ideally in a way that the competitors cannot. At both Aviva and Hiscox, I set the target audiences, mapped out customer journeys and built marketing plans around the unique value the brands had to offer. I'm looking forward to doing the same for The Health Lottery."
Nash expressed enthusiasm for the chance to help direct the lottery operator in a new way and convert the business into a brand backed by innovative lottery games and high-quality digital-based customer experiences.
The new Marketing Director continued:
"My goal is to work with Lebby and the rest of the team to create a clear marketing strategy that is able to drive the business further forward and deliver growth."
Lebby Eyres who was appointed the CEO of the Health Lottery in March this year, introduced Mark to the Health Lottery team, saying:
"He has a proven track record of putting together marketing strategies, plans and campaigns for companies like Aviva and Hiscox and we are confident his experience will help us transform The Health Lottery brand and better communicate our core values to our customers."
Northern & Shell, the proprietor of the Health Lottery, had formerly offered to run the UK National Lottery and was predicted to bid on another permit before losing out to Allwyn. The new transition is already ongoing, with the new operator expected to launch in February 2024.
